Yesterday was our final performance for the course we are all on, to say the least it was absolutely amazing.

Doing this course is the single best decision iv'e made, iv'e had the pleasure of meeting some truly awesome musicians and I hope the majority of us move onto PM3, as for Black Daze whether we progress as a band onto PM3 or not the band will be staying a tight unit and gigging profusely for the remainder of 2012 and stepping it up throughout 2013.

The knowledge I have gained since coming to the college has been great, I feel my understanding of how music and the industry behind it has really improved. My plans for after college still undecided but I have another 2 years to see where this trip is going to take me.

I'm grateful for the experiences Iv'e had this year playing along side Killerfix at the academy to playing at Band on the wall, Its been a great 6 months.

What next for Black Daze?

We look to get as many shows through June and July as we can, also looking for a place to record a high quality E.P, The E.P is wrote we just need a decent place to record it at a price we can afford.

I love the idea of free music I find it a great way to discover new artists and a great way for artists to reach a larger audience, obviously illegal downloading isn't the way to go about supporting your favorite artists.

BLACK DAZE

                                         

Suppose I best to start this blog off with my own band, here we are black daze. http://www.facebook.com/Blackdazeofficial we are a melodic metal/death band, the band came about through college in September 2011 we all had a mutual interest in heavy music so wanted to start a band and use the band as a way to project our views and let people hear what we can do.

Within the short time we're been a band we've been given some pretty cool opportunities to play some of Manchester's better venues such as Band on the Wall (http://bandonthewall.org/), we got to play this awesome venue through a audition process within college. The sound quality within this venue was something special as they had spent £40million giving the place a revamp a few years back, we have also just recently played Academy 3 as first support to up and coming metal act Killerfix (http://www.facebook.com/killerfix) [our full set can be watched here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIx6PtjhLNY]. Killerfix were really cool guys and absolutely smashed it, was a real eye opener to watch a band of this quality.

Upcoming things:

So things coming up for us in the next few months are; getting a E.P recorded professionally so we can attract more people to our music, also we are looking to play as many shows through June and July as possible already being booked for some.
